the Flying Snark.

At a glance, the Flying Snark could very well be easily mistaken for an oddly colorful moth. Flying Snarks are creatures of the night. They are normally an iridescent color, and are most notable when the moons light reflects from their color streaks.
Snarks can digest just about any plant it may happen to come upon, and tend to go for the greener plant life during the summer months. During winter they most commonly feed from evergreen trees, eating the needles or even bits of bark to sustain their needs. Although they can withstand cold temperatures, they prefer to be in warmer areas.
Flying Snarks build lifelong nests where they spend their time with their partner Snark to make little baby Snarks. They have a lifespan of 3-5 years, and once they choose a mate they mate for life. They can produce up to three eggs at a time, usually just once a year during the summer months.
Snarks are most commonly found in wooded areas, as most nests are mainly made in trees. Snarks are nocturnal creatures, and usually not noticed as they are nearly invisible flying around in the night, unless the moonlight hits them and their colors show.
Flying Snarks are a rare sight to see. There have only been claimed to have been a few sightings of the Flying snark, first claimed in the early 1800s. They are said to be a bringer of good luck, coming from early Native Indian Legends.
